The new era: Urwahn Gravel (E-)Bikes
With the Waldwiesel and the Waldwiesel.E, we are expanding the portfolio in the off-road sector and immediately adding a bio-bike and e-bike variant that can be individually expanded in countless configuration options. These models are also made from the tried-and-tested material steel using 3D printing, which allows us to further expand our global pioneering role in additive manufacturing.
The lack of compromise is immediately noticeable in these models, as design and function have once again been balanced by our in-house designer Sebastian Meinecke. The special Softride construction breaks with conventional diamond geometry. The steel frame is rather open towards the rear, which allows the weight forces and even uneven ground to be absorbed.
The precise electric drive from MAHLE ebikemotion is inconspicuously integrated into the steel skeleton of the Waldwiesel.E and catapults it decently forward. The Bio-Bike version, on the other hand, relies on pure muscle power and is also driven by a Shimano GRX 1-11-speed groupset. Handlebars and bearings come from Acros, while the hub technology is the first set of our own to be launched in the original style.
Thanks to 3D printing, affine gravel nauts are rewarded with a light system weight. The Waldwiesel Bio-Bike version weighs in at a slim 10.9 kg, while the Waldwiesel.E with electric support weighs in at 14.8 kg.
Head out and into nature!
