Three years ago I bought myself a new vintage bike. I thought it was time at the end of 40 to slow down...Well, wrong thought! My planned cosiness was revived by the Stadtfuchs. Fascinated by the idea of building a frame, I was infected by the enthusiasm of the Urwahn Team from Magdeburg.
For a few weeks now I have been jetting my puristic Stadtfuchs through the bicycle-mad Oldenburg, where the Fuchs, despite all the bicycle brands and types represented here, attracts attention and friendly to euphoric comments. After only a few necessary assembly handles from his cardboard freed, I was enthusiastic from the first moment on of the agile driving behavior, of the belt drive, which brings very directly the pedal steps noiselessly on the road. It takes a little getting used to for someone like me, who used to always use a chain drive, that the bike can be accelerated almost silently, which obviously surprises one or the other e-bike rider.
Decelerate with the Stadtfuchs? Forget it!
The Stadtfuchs invites you to take a fast and manoeuvrable turn through the city, and thanks to the pedals, which are very handy even in the wet, and the disc brakes, you always have a safe riding feeling, which is reinforced by the daytime running light. The fact that the stylish frame geometry (so the most used formulation of my friends and acquaintances, who saw the bike for the first time) actually fulfills its purpose of damping, one notices very fast, because the frame actually irons out small bumps just like that. It's simply fun to be on the road with the Stadtfuchs.
