The city is my territory, my bicycle is my constant companion, no matter whether for shopping, to the office or with the weekend trip. While the others are standing still, I pedal and roll past the traffic jam, winding my way through the traffic. In Magdeburg, where I live and work, there are a lot of construction sites at the moment. It's no fun by car - by bike: I know every shortcut, every back way and always reach my destination stress-free and mostly on time.
My bike has to be reliable and robust, light, chic and fast. I have three bikes in the basement: a racing bike, with which I do my laps at the weekend, a mountain bike for the rough, and for the city my "Stadtfuchs". I particularly like it because of its cool frame design and the light units integrated into the frame, which also light up during the day. This is a real safety plus in daily city traffic.
The "Stadtfuchs" has just been launched on the market and I am always asked about my faithful companion. It is produced regionally near Magdeburg, in fact by a start-up called "Urwahn", which is located directly opposite our company. Therefore I do not only know the Stadtfuchs in detail, I also know the "inventor" Sebastian Meinecke personally. He has thought a lot about the ideal urban bike and consciously breaks with conventional structures. It is not without reason that the seat tube of the steel frame is redirected to the rear, contrary to the classic trapezoidal construction, in order to achieve more riding comfort. With great results: puristic appearance, comfortable steel frame, integrated light units including GPS tracking system, belt drive with 11-G hub gears, mudguards and luggage rack - I think there's no better commuter in the city!
